shibuki wants to be bitten to death

shibuki:

Hah, as Yamamoto thought the word “friend” threw him off.  It was cute to see how he reacted.  He wasn’t sure if it was a sensitive topic or not, but the young skylark seemed to just brushed it off as if it wasn’t anything.  Perhaps something happened that made him not approve of the word friend?  He sighed.  Maybe he shouldn’t have said that.  Well, what’s done is done.

The swordsman patiently examined the other, wondering what he’d do next.  Would he come over or would he just sit at a distance?  Watching his actions, it seemed as Yamamoto’s earlier statement sparked an interest for the youngin.  A smirk arced on the corners of his lips as he knew that statement hit the spot.

As he watched Hibari making his way over, he laughed to himself.  It seemed like he was just dragging himself over, like a princess sort of.  He didn’t really reveal much emotion, but from Yamamoto’s perspective it seemed like he was quite curious, despite the stoic expression.

Once he situated himself beside the taller male, he turned, patting the other on the shoulder with a goofy grin of his.  “Well now that you are here,” he began, as his brows wrinkled a bit.  “Hm, say …why did you join the disciplinary committee?  I hardly ever saw you in class, now that I think about it years back.”  He turned, with curiosity filling in his eyes.  Then again Yamamoto kind of knew the answer.  Maybe he didn’t want to be with other groups of people?  It was probably that however he wanted to hear it from the young skylark himself.

Feeling the pat on his shoulder he turned and shot the rain guardian a glare… one that usually told herbivores to not mess with him. But then again that never deterred the baseball player in the past… why would it in the future? Besides he wasn’t a herbivore like the others anyways. Giving up he sighed and turned back to face… nothing. And listened to the question.

…why did you join the disciplinary committee? Indeed… why? What kind of answer did the other want? An immediate one? Or one that tracked back to his past… because it could. Resting his head on his knees he closed his eyes allowing himself to recall the past…

All alone… all the time.. returning to a house full of people who smiled purely for the sake of cash. He paid them no heed.. no need after all. The world was full of fakes, no need to be surrounded by people like that. And thus he didn’t care about socializing or rather despised all that facade that was passed around as ‘normality’. Why did he have to pretend to smile and like someone if he didn’t? It didn’t make sense to him and perhaps never will.

When did it begin? Second grade perhaps? Immature upper classmates started bullying some students in his grade. More like took turns bullying to make them fear the bullies or something. He was quite fed up with it… thanks to his education at home he was quite disciplined and thus when it was his turned to be bullied, he merely gave them a taste of their own medicine. Weaklings… herbivores… and the other students looked up to him thinking that he had defended them when it was merely just a lesson to the upper classmates. Perhaps things started then… the fear in his classmates’s eyes and how respected he was… distancing him from everyone else… not that he minded of course.

Besides, it wasn’t that he really needed to attend classes. He understood all of the material… and taking courses with other students suffocated him. He merely attended school for the record of attending school. Simple as that. Why didn’t anyone understand?

He drew a deep breath and prepared to explain. “I hate crowds and despise herbivores” he looked at the swordsman, pretty sure that the point he had brought up was quite clear between the two. “There is no need to be hindered by herbivores…” referring to the part in which he never attended class. “They begged me to join” which was to some extent true.. he was quite known for his accomplishments making it possible for him to obtain such a position. “I don’t mind it” he said honestly, surprised at himself as well… he really didn’t mind it but rather enjoyed such authority… now people wouldn’t crowd him and he could uphold his discipline. He was discipline after all.

shibuki wants to be bitten to death

shibuki:

Tch.  Like he thought, the question was quite broad, obviously Hibari would want to answer that.  Perhaps a more specific question would spark his curiosity.  Maybe, just maybe.  However, getting some answers from the young skylark seemed difficult due to the fact that he wasn’t much of a talker.  He hoped to bright things up with some laughed, patting the boy on the shoulder as he realized he sat down as well.  “Why don’t you sit next to me?” He offered as he patted the empty space beside him, wondering if Hibari actually would do such a thing.

Actually now that Yamamoto thought about it, since when did he start worrying for the youngin?  Was it because he was unconsciously his friend?  After all, worrying for friends wasn’t a bad thing, right?  Despite the fact that Hibari doesn’t consider anyone a friend, Yamamoto still cared.  Maybe it was just his own nature to care and worry about such things.  Perhaps that was a trait of a Rain Guardian.

“Says who?”  He inquired the other, lofting a brow.  “Maybe I want to worry because I want to.  Maybe it’s also because you are my friend, whether you like it or not.”  He smiled at the other, wondering if that was good enough.  Maybe not.  Hibari was stubborn so he might not have agreed to it so quickly.

Seeing the petite nod, he wondered what question would be good to start off.  “Well, once you sit next to me I’ll ask,” he teased the other with small bits of laughter escaping from his parted lips.

Why don’t you sit next to me? The skylark’s head tilted. When had anyone invited him to do anything? Everyone had ignored him, scurrying out of sight when he appeared… fearing his presence. He didn’t mind, not at all… it was just unusual for him… no one ever stopped and asked or requested for anything. This was new… maybe.. and nice to some extent.

He considered it, brows furrowed in concentration. Should he? Then he heard the other speak up again, forcing another frown of disproval on his face. Maybe I want to worry because I want to.  Maybe it’s also because you are my friend, whether you like it or not. “Don’t joke with me” he hissed “Friends? I have no use for such a thing” he huffed, about to turn away from the older man.

Well, once you sit next to me I’ll ask. He bit his lip, cursing his curiosity…. thought the laugh really did infuriate him. But he sighed and rose, walking over to the designated spot and sat down, once again bringing his legs up to his chest as he rested his head on it.

The prefect turned to look at the swordsman “speak” noting that they were only a few inches apart… he didn’t know what to feel about such a situation and braced himself for the questions coming his way.

shibuki wants to be bitten to death

shibuki:

The older male hummed, wondering what a was a good question to ask.  He was always curious about the young skylark ever since who knows when.  However, there was never much revealed about him — rather not much anyway.  Hibari represented the Cloud Guardian for a reason.

What did he want to know?  Honestly, anything really.  Yamamoto was just curious.  What did Hibari want to reveal?  What is he willing to reveal?  It didn’t really matter if he decided to dump all the past on him or just regular facts — perhaps things he enjoyed doing in his free time.

He edged in closer and slumped down on the floor.  A bit tired, he couldn’t really think of what to ask.  “Anything, Hibari,” he simply said.  Was that concise enough?  It seemed a bit vague and too broad.  The young skylark was probably going to retort by scoffing or something, maybe not even answer.  It seemed like something he would do anyway.

Scoffing a bit as he laid back toward the wall, he turned his head and looked up at the young skylark and his remark.  “Well, I wasn’t forcing you to stop fighting, did I, Hibari?”  A smirk formed on his lips, replying to the other.  Well, he had to agree with Hibari to an extent.  Sure, everyone would love to become stronger and fight for a certain reason.  Yamamoto had a reason: protecting his friends.  Hibari probably had one too.  “Maa, maa~ I’m just expressing my worry for you, no need to get upset over it.”

The swordsman took a breath, still thinking of what to ask.  There wasn’t anything he could think of really.  Maybe the other will decide to speak out, however Yamamoto wasn’t expecting much.  “…anything?”  He questioned the other with curiosity.

He waited… surprisingly patient as the other hummed. Perhaps curiosity made him so. Patience was a virtue after all. But that didn’t stop the frown that adorned his face and the urge, very strong, to tap his foot while he waited for the other to answer.

Anything, Hibari, ”Anything?” he repeated, a bit out of shock but mostly out of disbelief. So the other didn’t care about anything in specific… did it mean he wanted to know everything? Or maybe nothing at all since he didn’t bother to ask.

He watched the other sit on the floor and wonder if he should follow… he really wasn’t able to answer such a broad question. First of all… he wasn’t much of a talker so he wondered why he had provided something like this that required him to explain. He sighed.

He glared when he heard the cough, how was the other able to be so relaxed? he asked himself as the other leaned back. Well, I wasn’t forcing you to stop fighting, did I, Hibari? His eyes held smothering flames if that could happen… especially ANOTHER smirk. Maa, maa~ I’m just expressing my worry for you, no need to get upset over it. He snorted. “Since when did you start worrying for me? No need to waste your energy” he huffed “herbivore”

Deciding standing up was too awkward, he slumped down, sitting on the floor as he drew his feet closer to him, hugging his legs. He heard the next question: …anything?. And nodded, wondering why he was agreeing to such a thing… it was only fair right? He had bothered the older male with a lot of questions as well.

shibuki wants to be bitten to death

shibuki:

As Hibari slowly moved away from the swordsman, he closely examined him — his actions, his responses.  He seemed a bit nervous?  Or so that was what the Rain perceived his reactions as.  Was he always like this?  This fragile?  Underneath his mask, was he just another boy with a past that haunted him?  Yamamoto wasn’t sure.  Perhaps Hibari wasn’t so sure himself.  If it was a painful memoir, he didn’t wish to inquire him any further, however, curiosity just constantly filled his mind.

The retorts given by Hibari was definitely Hibari-styled.  Does everything require a response?  That part was true, anyway.  Nothing really needed a response.  Or rather Hibari himself did not wish to respond.  He didn’t mind though.  Sometimes he felt that they may be personal.. yet, Yamamoto just wanted to know.

After hearing the replies of the young skylark, it again sparked curiosity.  Was he actually worried about the swordsman?  He scoffed, wondering if that was really the reason.  Yet, he felt pleased if that was actually the true intent of the other.  What if he was worried?  Did he see him as a friend now?  He grinned, wondering the sudden inquiries.  “Well, I guess you can say.. I’m still looking for answers,” in which he was referring to the young Cloud Guardian before him.  “However, it seems like answers aren’t coming to me, you see?”

Inching in closer — probably just a head apart — he gently took a hold of the young skylark’s frame and turned it so it faced him.  Narrowing his amber hues, he realized that Hibari’s face still had some blood stains from earlier.  Mmm.  What was keeping him from holding back on the responses, he wondered.  Did he already close himself from the rest?  With determination in his eyes, he began.  “Well, you should get yourself hurt anymore, you know?  In meaningless fights, anyway.  They aren’t good for you,” he simply stated.  It was obvious however Yamamoto really didn’t have a clue to what to say.  He wanted to comfort the other, yet, didn’t know how.  “So, I guess I won’t be getting any answers from you, am I?”

Well, I guess you can say.. I’m still looking for answers He could almost laugh at the phrasing. It sounded like some wise man talking about his life long quest for knowledge or something. Well.. maybe if the swordsman had some spectacles that would help him play the part. But the idea quickly vanished from his mind when he heard the next comment: However, it seems like answers aren’t coming to me, you see?

“What do you want to know?” perhaps he was genuinely curious… what else did the other want to know? And why was he so willing to provide answers to address his questions. This wasn’t right… then again what was ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ anyways? A mere construction… schema of the mind.

However something worried him more… what if the other asked for things relating to him, Hibari Kyouya? He wouldn’t know how to respond… of course he could always drive it off with a comment or two or with his tonfas but… It wasn’t that he was uncomfortable revealing his past… maybe… to some extent. But it was more of the fact that he really didn’t care and didn’t want to remember his past. It was… lonely and very herbivorous of him. No… not lonely… he was just alone all the time not that it mattered, he had gotten used to it.

He jumped slightly when he felt two firm, strong hands on his shoulders and was turned around to face the swordsman. He noticed the other’s eyes narrow and wondered what he was looking at. He was shocked when the other said: Well, you should get yourself hurt anymore, you know?  In meaningless fights, anyway.  They aren’t good for you

“Since when did you become in charge of my life, Yamamoto Takeshi?” he questioned, unhappy with the tone of authority the other used. He knew that to some extent the statement was true… but he didn’t really find them ‘meaningless’. They were to grow stronger… and being strong was good. “Don’t you, as well, wish to grow strong?” he inquired “Even if it’s to protect herbivores…” wasn’t the swordsman aiming for the same thing as he did? Or was he wrong?

So, I guess I won’t be getting any answers from you, am I? He just stared at the other and retorted “If I don’t know your question how will I be able to answer?” he wasn’t a mind reader… especially if the opponent was this wolf.
